Psychotherapy (in person and online)
Dealing with issues considered difficult, symptoms that interfere with daily life and modify the healthy functioning of an individual, can consequently bring emotional distress.
Psychotherapy will make it possible to understand the particular functioning of each individual and thus contribute to the identification of what must be changed in order to achieve relief from emotional suffering, helping to improve quality of life.
Everyone can benefit from psychotherapy (children, adolescents, adults and the elderly), as well as those who seek a better way to understand situations and behaviors to help those who are important within a family relationship (parents and caregivers).
Psychotherapy can be in person or online. The last modality is a form that can be chosen if the patient cannot attend in person for the service. However, this modality should be adjusted with the psychologist, because in some cases it is recommended that the calls are in person.
Neuropsychological Assessment
It consists of evaluating cognitive processes, without discarding aspects of an individual's personality, affect, mood and social context.
In this way, the neuropsychological assessment can be performed to help other professionals understand the functioning of the individual, contributing to the differential diagnosis and adequate guidance of professionals who will be able to accompany the person being evaluated for an improvement in their current situation.
My Approach
This evidence-based approach assumes that our behaviors and emotions are influenced by the way we interpret the situations we experience in our lives.
It emphasizes the patient's collaboration and active participation in the therapeutic process, teaching the patient to identify, evaluate and question their own thoughts.
Thus enabling the cognitive restructuring of what is dysfunctional.
